“A beautiful, crisp and clear Oregon Coast day.  A gift!  White caps lit up by the morning sun.  I set out from my camp site with all my gear to paint from my favorite perch at Cape Lookout.  As I set up a great gust of wind blew my canvas 150 feet down the beach.  Lunging toward my easel to save it from going over I crashed on the rock right on my knee!  Excruciating pain!  And extreme beauty in one moment.  As I looked up a crack in the sky opened up and lit up the beach.  A Zen moment.  Unforgettable.  A painting!”
